As I see...That is a distinct possibility, Richard.

As I see it, the most likely scenario is an increase in volatility for the next 2-4 weeks, followed by a return to declining volatility and perhaps range-bound equities as well.

Of course there are quite a few scenarios that could play out...and many of the big players are betting on continued declines in volatility.

Cheers,

-BillBill Lubyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01241003017364820134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-897456774486153841.post-90794519307966880792009-05-06T11:47:00.000-07:002009-05-06T11:47:00.000-07:00Have we now entered a bear market for volatility, ...Have we now entered a bear market for volatility, in which we stay range-bound while volatility declines?Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15799491655890069528noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-897456774486153841.post-68137207265297670012009-05-06T08:35:00.000-07:002009-05-06T08:35:00.000-07:00I have quite of a few of the multi-post series tha...I have quite of a few of the multi-post series that are still open. The oldest of them all is on volatility, where I really need to get a good post up on HV, IV and other aspects of volatility. I also have a series on options education which is still open. PSAR is a third. Now 'lessons learned.'

On the one hand, it gives me a broad range of ongoing topics to post about on any given day (and now that I'm in my third year of doing this, I have a greater appreciation for the responsibility of coming up with a daily post), but it also tends to interrupt the flow of certain themes.

When I am done with any series, I will end it with a recap and linked table of contents for easy reference. I may also put some of these in "VIX - Educational Posts" bucket on the right hand side of the blog.

Cheers,

-BillBill Lubyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01241003017364820134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-897456774486153841.post-2256751498525821952009-05-06T08:22:00.000-07:002009-05-06T08:22:00.000-07:00Speaking of future posts, didn't you mention some ...Speaking of future posts, didn't you mention some weeks ago that you would do a post on SAR?
